Product Description

From Amazon.com

Jason Mraz's breakthrough 2002 hit "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)" established him as a funnier, funkier version of John Mayer, custom-built for The O.C. set. On Mr. A-Z, the Virginia singer-songwriter continues mixing up folk melodies and hip-hop beats. He also keeps making heroic stabs at humor that would have gone down a storm in his coffeehouse days but typically backfire on record. Fortunately, producer Steve Lillywhite U2, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel) is on hand to clean things up, giving even the most bumbling lyrical experiments, such as "Wordplay" and "Geek In The Pink," at least the illusion of newfound maturity. --Aidin Vaziri

5.0 out of 5 stars RE: stupidest "artist" i've ever seen or heard, Feb 18 2006
By Luke Pittman (Salmon Arm, BC Canada) - See all my reviews
"worst lyrics, arist if you can even call "him" and i use that word losely i've ever seen or heard. Totally horrible, every copy should be burned, come to think of it so should he..."

This comment is absolutely rediculous. You obviously have _no_ understanding of music what-so-ever. You are close minded, ignorant and completely out of line. Jason Mraz is an unbelievably talented artist who has more talent in his little toe than 95% of the 'artists' you see out there today.

This album is amazing, the variety of singing styles, variety of sounds and the amazing compositions combine nicely to create a classic. I have listened to this entire album over, and over, and over and still find it awe-inspiring.

5 stars is not enough ... 7 or 8 would almost cover it.

Do not hesitate to buy this album, you will _not_ be dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb CD, full of energy!!!, Aug 7 2005
By Rose (Victoria, BC, Canada) - See all my reviews
This is Jason's second studio album, after Waiting for My Rocket to Come (check it out! it's also excellent!). The twelve tracks on MR. A-Z are varied in style, including hard rock (Please Don't Tell Her), his pop-y style reminiscent of his first single, The Remedy (Wordplay), and a blend of jazz, hip hop, and more.

If you can appreciate this album for nothing else, you must admit that Jason has the most beautiful, strong, clear voice you will ever hear. His power and clarity make every song a gem. His lyrics are, once again, witty and sweet (some people think he's overly cocky, but I think that's part of his appeal... and that's what the rooster was for on his first album, anyway --> inside joke for Mraz fans bwahaha).

This album is so beautiful and fabulous and you should definitely check it out!! You won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album!, Aug 5 2005
By Snoopy (Toronto, Canada) - See all my reviews
This was my first Jason Mraz cd and let me say it did not dissapoint! Jason has hip hop, pop, power ballads, rock, and even opera in this CD.

Standout tracks include: Geek In Pink, Wordplay, Please Don't Tell Her, Did You Get My Message

Highly recommend this if you like chillen music such as Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Donovan Frankenreighter etc
