2.0 out of 5 stars straps March 5 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Size Name:13 Inch|Verified Purchase
My daughter plays dek hockey and ice hockey, and she is careful with her equipment but with in the first few months we had these the 1 of the Velcro on the straps came off and it immediately showed because she kept messing with it and trying to make it stay on and now we have to buy a new pair for her.

Do not purchase these, even in an extra large, unless you are the size of a leprochaun.
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Street Hockey Shin Guard Jan. 28 2014
By Robert Bianchetto - Published on Amazon.com

With no one selling hockey gear in North Carolina (big surprise there) I had to purchase all my equipment online. Thus I didn't have any clue what size I would be in anything, so I purchased a medium, large and extra large shin guard. The large is the one I kept.

I'm 5'4", so I'm not that tall. The extra large were way too long for me, and the edge of it kept ramming into my ankle. The large is the perfect size for someone of my height, as it safely covers the knee down to the shin, and does not get in the way of my ankle or sneakers, so it does not impair my running.

They are made of pretty sturdy material and I have already taken a few shots and slashes to them and not felt a thing, though they definitely scuff easily.
2.0 out of 5 stars Not Satisfied Nov. 21 2013

These shin pads arrived and were supposed to be brand new the mylec plastic bag in the box was ripped open and the shin guards themselves have scuff marks on them, I am really disappointed I thought I was buying a brand new product for the price I paid. these are quite obviously used or refurbished I am a very unsatisfied customer.
4.0 out of 5 stars Shin guards good for softball Sept. 15 2013
By G. Davis - Published on Amazon.com
Size Name:14"|Verified Purchase
I purchased these shin guards specifically for protection as a softball pitcher. They are lightweight and provide good flexibility. They provide excellent protection because they go down to the ankle and wrap around the knee. Although you can run with them, they would be ideal if they were quick release, so one could take them on and off more easily.
