Like Diregrove before it, this game combines the adventure gsmes where you move about and collect items in your inventory for later use and the search and find games within it. You move around the mansion and some of the rooms have search and find game within them. You are then left with an object that goes into your inventory.. like a key for example. Then later as you move around the mansion you come to a locked door. But sometimes you really have to think about why you were left with certain objects and how to use them. Also some items can be very difficult to find so get out your maginifying glass!! This game has tons of locations, a good soundtrack, lots of really cool puzzles to play and clues that you need to remember from scene to scene...although your notebook will remember if you don't. You actually need to be a pretty good detective for this one. I really liked this game and enjoyed the fact that it was a challenge. I even liked their sarcastic comments when you tried things that didn't work.. Cute. This is beautifully done with special effects and very detailed graphics. Loved the ghost special effects and the end graphics. The game however was quite dark. Both in it's storyline and in the game itself. I wish they would lighten up the next one a little as my only complaint was that this was quite dark and horror movie-ish. But overall very well done, challenging and well worth the money. I am just starting my second time through and have already purchased another for a Christmas gift. Can't wait for the next one.
