This product works "as advertised", however my cats aren't crazy about it. I think I spoiled my cats in advance since I've always played with them using toys under blankets etc., which they love. But with this toy, the wand moves too quickly (even on the slow setting) and doesn't stop often enough for their liking; they just stare at it for a few minutes and then walk away. Also, it's quite noisy, and when a cat does pounce on the wand, it makes a loud clicking noise (the motor is trying to move the wand but can't) which is unnerving to the cats. Basically a waste of $50.

I'll admit the cat loves it, but the wand arm/mouse broke after the first use. The cat saw it moving, pounced on it, and that was the end of the wand. I concocted my own wand and glued it on with crazy glue and the cat's still plays with it - in fact every now and then she'll sit in front of it and meow until I turn it on for her. Cat likes it, but it's cheaply made. I bought something similiar at Giant Tiger for half the price.

It took about 20 minutes before my cat would go near it. Then it took another 10 before she would peek underneath. Finally, after another 10 minutes, she hazarded a swat, which made the mouse go in the opposite direction and hit her paw from the other side. This happened two different times and since then she's been afraid to go near it...but...I'll put it out now and again and hope she gets a little more brave.

One of my cats really loved this toy but it was too easy for him to just lie on the "tail" which totally inhibits movement. The clicking sound as the tail moves is a bit loud -can become irritating.
The second cat loved to watch and pounce but could not do this as his "brother" was lying on it.
Secondly, this toy is now advertized on TV and costs much less.

works well I like the different speeds and it seems sturdy not like the one made for TV. The only complaint is the mouse keeps falling off I had to stuff cotton wool in with it to keep it on. Plus the cats prefer something sticking outside the cover so I tied another mouse on a stick and now the cat love it.

Its a new source of entertainment for the cats and for us!
Definitely geting our monies worth out of it.

After reading some of the comments before we bought I wasnt expecting much. However its taking some real abuse with 3 cats here and it keeps on going.

I already had this for my cats and knew how it could occupy their attention for a very long time. This one was a gift for a young cat from my cattery who was re-named "Chaos" by his new owners for very good reasons. The "mouse" kept him amused and away from the Christmas dinner table.

Well Amazon, My husband and I were going crazy because it's really cold outside and snowing and they had nothing to do. Socks was the worse. He's our male and wanted to go to the bathroom but had to resort to the indoor bathroom. Fuzzy-girl was just bored.Father decided to put batteries in this toy to see what they'd do. It took about an hour before Socks had the idea. He went nuts. Fuzzy heard it and wanted to know what all the commotion was. She laid on top of it and the fight was on. Socks beat the fur ball out of Fuzzy. Father yelled at both of them and just hid for a while. The soon as things calmed down,Socks meowed at the top of his little lungs wanting this toy to be turned on again. Twelve batteries later,he still comes back for more. They love this toy. And we learned that we must keep it off at night. We've seen them both lying across this toy and seem to love the noise. We need more batteries.I get home from work and that's all I seem to hear. NICE!!! Thank-you ever so much. Socks and Fuzzys mom,Flora!!
