I bought this gift set for my fiancee as a birthday present after she saw it advertised on TV. Unfortunately, when it arrived, half the discs had a line of paint streaking the backs of the discs. I returned it and got a replacement, only to find that it was even more damaged than the first set. I've since returned the set for a refund.
Honestly, I was disappointed with the manufacturer of the set. I wouldn't try buying this again until I learn that the packaging is completely redesigned.

The Cosby Show is one of my all time favourite sitcoms. I was very excited to final have an entire series boxset. As an added bonus, Season 1 episodes are the original network versions, not the syndicated cuts that you get with the Season 1 boxset.

Now the bad part...

The first time I received this boxset, all of the DVD's had a line of ink/paint on them that came off from the edges of the cardboard packaging. I had the item replace and much to my surprise the second boxset had the same defect. I ended up having to return the boxset a 2nd time only to receive the same defect once again on the third boxset.

If you decide to purchase this boxset, be sure to inspect EVERY disc when it arrives. I also highly recommend that the DVD's be stored in either a spindle or seperate jewel cases as I have no confidence in the packaging.

Unfortunately, the packaging was inadequately designed. Black lines appear on the reverse of the majority of the DVDs in the set. The marks are caused by the DVDs pressing up against the packaging. Black marks interefere with watching the DVDs - causes them to skip, stall and in some cases they prevent you from finishing the episodes.
