were do i start? this cd is incredible. its another strong fact that candian music doesnt suck. staright rfom toronto these guys are musicans who are recrding stuff that ive never herd before. i mean two piece bands are rare today, but a two peice that consists of a singing drummer and a distorted bass? their lineup isnt only one a kind but so is there music. and it seems like these guy would also put on a kickass live show. if you get the chance too, see these guys live, and buy this cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Too catchy and dancey to be metal, too kickass to be dance, July 17 2005

This album is *awesome*. Everybody needs to own this. The group is two guys: a drummer and a bassist. There are little samples thrown in around the songs, but most of the time it's just drums and a loud, way overdriven bass guitar. The sound could be described as stagnant through the album, but they use so many different melodies and techniques that it's easy not to care. This is a great album to work to with all the energy in it.

DFA 1979's next album will actually be three seperate albums. If they're anything like this one, three may not be enough.
