I was very happy to find this video as a friend and I had see the movie years ago.This is a movie that is for all ages and if you are from across the sea you will feel right at home with the scenery . Fun movie.

This is a wonderful adventure story of two brothers who run away with a mistreated horse and encounter many adventures along the way as they head "into the west". It's a cute, heartwarming story that shows the audience a rougher view of Dublin, but the characters are all very well played, especially the boys' gypsy father (Gabriel Byrne). It introduces viewers, especially those unfamiliar with Ireland, to a good view into life in Ireland and a bit of Irish folklore. I'd recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a great adventure story, it's been a family favourite for years!

there is the commitments and whatnot, but this movie is a great sample of how dublin was 10 years ago. it is more than a childrens film. in fact kids outside of ireland might even find it strange?!
