Must love Lane, Cusack, April 3 2006
I'll admit right up front that Diane Lane is by far and away my favorite actress (or actor). And I've always liked John Cusack as well. In past films, they both have played likeable, albeit conflicted characters that one can empathize with very easily. I went into this film with high expectations, and, for once, I wasn't disappointed: a romantic comedy that didn't insult my intelligence. The dialogue was actually funny not stupid, the characters believable not cartoonish. Lane and Cusack worked well together, and their geninue chemistry came through. This is not the hot, 'passion' driven, almost obessional erotic type connection we've seen from some of Diane's other films, but a realistic one that works and still entertains. Perhaps Diane Lane is still resting after "Unfaithful"...;)?!
The only criticism concerns the editing: it came off (just a bit) like a series of very well thought out sequences, but I could see the seams holding the story in place. Nevertheless, if you like a comedy that's classy, warm, smart, and comes by its humor honestly, you'll really like this film.

A Must See Movie,, Mar 30 2011
If you are looking for a funny romantic comedy, I recommend 'Must love Dogs.' Diane Lane and John Cusack are at their best in this humorous romantic comedy that you'll want to watch again and again. I'm surprised at the negative reviews that this movie has on Amazon, as I absolutely loved the movie. It's a very sweet must see!!

Another great Diane Lane Movie!, April 27 2006

A cute story about a woman who just can't seem to find the perfect guy so she ends up trying "online dating". It's not quite as good as "Under the Tuscan Sun" but it's still worth watching. John Cusack is really likable in this movie too.
