Initially I must say I was concerned that this was an anti-cat fantasy DVD as there were initial strong anti-cat prejudicies. Any child watching the first part of this movie should be encouraged to watch further, since "good-guy" kitties do turn up! There are some disturbing things in the movie which is why I give it a 3-star rating. Parents of impressionable children should be aware of these, and may want to watch it first. One example:a cat lands in a vat of hair removal liquid and so comes out hairless. For some this is funny I guess, but I really find this a bit concerning as the cat would obviously die ...and this movie is not "animated" per-se, rather shows "real" cats & dogs (animated to talk of course).
