NEW Rust/panettiere - I Love You Beth Cooper (Blu-ray)

Beth Cooper is not the Beth Cooper he thought she was. He discovers she is nothing like the little princess he though she was, he finds out instead she is a real person. Really funny movie, loved it :-)

A flat start with a flat finish... I Love You Beth Cooper made me want that two hours of my life back.

I didn't know what to expect from this movie, but what I got wasn't worth it... and I was able to watch it for free through Netflix on my one month free trial!

The movie starts out very flat... I don't know how to describe it otherwise. There are a few funny flashbacks that are characterized by horrible values and embarassing situations.
As the movie progresses, things don't improve too much. There is very little character development throughout the movie, especially in Beth Cooper who starts out as an idealized version of herself in the main characters dreams. The movie revolves around the crazy circumstances that drive this unlikely couple together in a series of circumstances that shatter the ideal dream and make him accept her for who she is... a crazy girl who has no future (she basically says this in the movie).

It ends on a note of pure uncertainty. There is no boy gets the girl finish... well not permanently anyway. They kiss but there is no indication that they start any kind of relationship beyond that. Even the best friend seems to get a girl only to declare himself gay... which didn't add to or the movie at all, which makes me wonder why they wrote it in to begin with!

Bad morals, bad plot, bad language, bad movie! If you want a brainless teen comedy, this might be the movie for you, but I don't recommend anything more than a rental!

Purely a feel good, fun movie to watch. Plenty of wild, and silly antics. The beginning is difficult to watch, just because you cannot help but to feel horribly embarrassed for Denis Coverman (main nerdy character) - during the opening valedictorian speech. Then it's just a fun ride, with many moments of nostalgia as old 70's songs are played throughout.

A great little high-school, enjoyable movie to watch. Watch it with a light heart, and enjoy!
