INTRO:In 2005 they released ``Rock The Nation Live``every fans loved itold and new fans founded something cool with it i tought this is a great DVD if only they could release a DVD of KISS`s early shows or something like that.Well its about to arrive!2006`s KISSOLOGY features many shows, special appearences by KISS from 1974-1977 the early(and in my opinion)best years of KISS in a large collection of vintage shows from the 74-77 era. 5.0 out of 5 stars Rock N Roll Lives Nov. 11 2006
Format:DVD
Finally Gene and Paul open up the vaults, and give us Kiss fans what we always wanted vintage footage cleaned up on dvd. Of course we all have these concerts on bootleg video, but now dvd in 5.1 surround sound. What can i say that hasn't been said on most web sites, if you are a Kiss fan you must own this. Here they are at the top of their game, the Love Gun stage still blows me away, to think they were doing such a show in 1977. Amazing. Of course i won't be a Kiss fan if i didn't complain a little bit.

1st question, why didn't they include the whole interview with Gene on the Mike Douglas Show. The winners of the Kissing contest come on the show and Gene talks about how the prize was to be a trip to Toronto Canada. 2nd question, why is Black Diamond in black and white on the Midnight Special t.v show when there is a colour copy that looks much better, especially when they blow up the set. 3rd question, why didn't include the complete Paul Lynde t.v special. One more thing to bad they didn't include a complete version of the Madision Square Garden show because it is a great performance. Pick up a bootleg video copy at the next Kiss convention near you. There i'm done with the complaints, now buy this dvd, its well worth the money.

A Tip On Easter Eggs. First disc, hit main menu, hit up arrow key and highlight Kiss logo then hit enter. Do the same on the 2nd disc. I won't spoil the surprise. Amazing, especially the first disc.

3.0 out of 5 stars I expected greatness..... Jan. 28 2008
Format:DVD
....instead I got "pretty-good-ness". It's great to see these vintage concerts (I had seen clips of all of them before, but never the entire shows), but I felt the DVD set was lacking. There is so much other media (interviews, TV reports, profiles) available that could have been included but wasn't. The (totally understandable) repetition gets a bit difficult at times, especially considering the lack of material other than live performances. This think 4 of the first 10 songs were performances of Firehouse (or Black Diamond, I don't recall which one - both appear many times on this set).

It's enjoyable, but don't do it all in one sitting - they were a young band without a large songlist, so the repetition gets old fast if you watch it all at once.
