4.0 out of 5 stars Great Game Lousy Shipping Policy at Launch Oct. 3 2013

The Game itself is as good as you probably figure it is if you are reading this. My only major concern is with Amazon trying to hardball people into paying for premium shipping on new release products. I am sorry but if a game comes out on a Tuesday and I preorder it I expect it to be sent out Tuesday and received by Friday even with super saver shipping. Mailing it out the Friday after launch is completely unacceptable for preorder customers.

If you're expecting the quality of the Tales franchise you should just pass this game over. It's laughably bad. The fighting system becomes very dull very quickly and the world, while lovely in art direction, is linear and redundant. You can tell they're trying to re-create classic characters from old tales games (Alvin being a complete rip off of Zelos, except not nearly as interesting or well written) but fail miserably at every turn. Characters are often completely illogical in their decisions. If you like RPGs like, FF7, tales of symphonia, chrono trigger, tales of the abyss, or any well written rpg steer clear of this title. If you are a fan of FF13... you will probably love this.
