This is one of my favorite novels, so I knew the story was good already. As far as the book itself goes it was in perfect condition and came quickly with no problems. If you like classic literature then you may love this book <3

I absolutely loved the story and I find Zola's style much easier to follow than many other 19th century French authors. If I read this book again I will buy a different copy because this Dover Thrift Edition is littered with misspellings and other errors.

I like Zola's writings and have read quite a few. I particularly like Germinal, which I re-read about a year ago. I recently re-read Nana. I found it uninteresting. There is little reference to the world at large - other than ones own awareness that France is fast approaching 1870. The plodding through Nana's various relationships gets tiring
