...but perhaps a bit saccharine for adult tastes, this incarnation of the teenaged sleuth is not quite note-perfect in its delivery, but will be welcomed by the under-18 set. Fans of the books need not worry, as the cast is all there, albeit modernized. For those with a passing familiarity to the character, Nancy Drew is the prototypical nosy teenaged mystery solver. Updated with cool clothes, a nice car and some mildly entertaining plots, this series is not attempting to challenge your preconceptions or reinvent the wheel. It delivers what it promises - a few episodes of Saturday afternoon diversion without risk of unwholesome content.
