This review is from: Naruto: Best Hit Collection (Audio CD)
The "Best Themes" Naruto Soundtrack almost all of the Opening/Ending songs from the hit anime that is currently being shown in Japan and Fansubbed in the US by quite a few groups. The manga is also liscensed and distributed by Viz.
Unless I am mistaken, it is missing everything after the fourth opening (GO!!!) and the fifth closing (Ima Made Nandomo).
Although I adore all of the music of Naruto, I would not purchase it for fifty dollars. It is also a shame that Amazon did not even include a track list for those who care what songs are on it.
A complete track listing is as follows:
01. R O C K S [OP 1]/ HOUND DOG
02. Wind [ED 1] / Akeboshi
03. Haruka Kanata [OP 2] / Asian Kung-Fu Generation
04. Harmonia [ED 2] / RYTHEM
05. Kanashimi wo Yasashisa ni [OP 3] / little by little
06. Viva Rock ~Japanese Side~ [ED 3] / ORANGE RANGE
07. ALIVE [ED 4] / Raiko
08. GO!!! [OP 4]/ FLOW
09. Ima Made Nandomo [ED 5] / The Massmissile

Naruto!, Mar 14 2006

This CD contains great beginning and ending songs from the Naruto anime series:
R*O*C*K*S by Hound Dog; a fun rock song, with a few English words. Very fun to sing.
Wind (Akeboshi); this is probably my favorite song on the soundtrack. It is a very beautiful song, sung in English, actually, though you might have to get the lyrics to understand what he's saying.
Far-Off Distance (Haruka Kanata) by Asian Kung-Fu Generation; though it only just repeats a long verse (with a short verse at the end), it is a fun song.
Harmonia (Harumonia) by Rythem; this song can get annoying, but it's cute.
Turning Sadness Into Kindness (Kanashima wo Yasashisa ni), by 'little by little'; this is a fast song, pretty and cute.
Viva*Rock, by Orange Range; this is an extremely fun song. If you've watched the ending credits with this song, you'll know what I mean (with the little chibi characters marching across the screen and the song is counting in English). It kind of has a rap side to it, but not a whole lot, and it's just lots of fun.
Alive, by Raiko; it starts out pretty, then goes into a rap song, then back to the pretty... wasn't sure I liked this song at first, but it grew on me.
Go!!! by Flow; this is also an extremely fun song. It has a few words in English, which I think allows easier memorizing of the Japanese lyrics.
Lastly there is Many Times Until Now (Ima Made Nandomo), by The Massmissile; I don't like this song as much, but it's still fun.
As you can see, for the most part they are rock songs, and lots of fun. Maybe not worth the $40+ Amazon wants, but buying it used you can usually get it for under $20.
If you like this soundtrack (or even if you don't), I recommend: Best of InuYasha, Fullmetal Alchemist - Complete Best, and Rurouni Kenshin: The Best Theme Collection.
