I purchased this book to help me study for the national exam this fall.. It has been great! Covers a multitude of conditions in a way that makes sense to me.. nicely organized. Some info is different for Canada, but the majority is accurate. There are 3 mock exams at the end. They are incredibly helpful for giving you an idea where you need a little more work. Each exam has 200 questions, I only skipped over about 20 questions per exam because they were not relevant in Canada.

Could be better June 6 2012

This book and CD are good preparation, but many of the questions simply do not make sense, and the rationale are often even worse. We had a person from this company come give our class a "review session", and there was a lot of dubious information presented. The person even gave a piece of information that was actually the opposite of what the book stated.
The PEAT offered by the FBPT is by far much better.

I would give no stars if i was able. This book is one of the worst books that i have ever used. The questions are confusing, the rationale of why the answers are no help what-so-ever and the some of the answers in the practice tests are WRONG! Very important subject matter that are the basics of PT and Neuro are false in some of these questions. I know a very studious person who has studied out of this book for their tests and they have failed the State Boards three times now. Now I know why.

The CD that comes with the book was so scratched I couldn't download on my computer. I will not buy anything used from Amazon again. As much as I paid for this book used it should have had better quality. O will now buy New items.

Many errors Sept. 6 2011
By DocEve - Published on
Format: Paperback
The layout of this book was actually pretty good and the structure of the CD Exams was great. You can choose to take one of 3 full exams or break them into categories. For example, I just wanted to see how well I knew the integumentary system and it just picked out the 38 questions that related to this and tested me on them. They also provided rationale for correct as well as incorrect answers.

My one very big gripe with this book was the numerous errors. I understand it must be hard to revise a big book like this each year to keep current; however, mixing up greater than/less than signs and pluses/minuses is NOT acceptable when you are prepping people for a very important test! There was even a whole bulleted paragraph where the first letter from every sentence was gone. It made the book seem like it wasn't a credible source which is worrisome.

It provides a good review by compressing all the necessary and important information learned while in school. It's a good tool to help prepare for npte
