The illustrations found in her books are, for the most part, from her unmanageable collection of travel ephemera.

I already had a copy of this Journal and had purchased it in the past for another friend, but I bought one recently for another gift. The illustrations are chosen from old lithographs and early representations of nature and the color and art work is fascinating. These make wonderful gifts. Thank you, Ms. Hodgson for your great eye and artistic book design.
