From Library Journal
Illustrated with stunning color photographs of wildlife and landscapes, this work takes readers on an international journey to some of the best locales for nature photography, notably in North America but also in Central America and Africa. The book is divided into five chapters on marine wildlife, landscapes, big game, birds, and "small treasures," including flowers, tiny creatures such as hummingbirds, and other subjects suitable for close-up photography. Familiar locations appear, e.g., Yellowstone National Park, as do less well known vacation spots such as Brooks Camp, Alaska. The author provides excellent information, including a brief description of the site, access and accommodations, shooting strategies, and other attractions in the area. A solid, practical book for all libraries, especially public libraries with extensive travel and photography collections.?Raymond Bial, Parkland Coll. Lib., Champaign, Ill.
