This is by far one of the best Current 93 albums ever, in my opinion. I was drawn to them in their Maldoror days by their noisy soundscapes and tracks that took up almost a whole album side, and this one is a classic. Deep, droning, humming thrumming music like the stirrings of an ancient creature, singing monks, dark rumblings, and of course Tibet's distinct wailing. Some tracks are more mournful and dreamlike, some are dark and brooding, and yet others sound like Orc music. Current 93's more recent works seemed to have pulled away from this style a lot, and while anything they do will always be good IMHO, I think this time period was the greatest for them. If you find that you enjoy this album, I highly recommend you find also "Dogs Blood Order", "Live at Bar Maldoror", and "In A Foreign Town, In A Foreign Land", you will not be disappointed.
