I obtained a morocco leather copy of Nave's Study Bible from Moody Press over 31 years ago and consider it as possibly the BEST Study Bible ever written.
It contains all the references of Mr. Nave's TOPICAL Bible plus many MORE! It was first published in 1907, a year before the popular Thompson Chain-Reference Bible and is, indeed, atreasury and a lifetime of study. Unlike the Thompson Bible, Nave's has large, easy-to-read type. The only negative comment I have on Nave's Study Bible is that it's referrences are scattered throughout the pages of the Bible -- usually located at the most familiar reference point -- instead of all together at one handy location, thus making it a little slower to locate some references. In this reviewers estimation, Nave's is much more thorough than Thompson's and allows the Bible to rightfully interpret ITSELF.
I will never know why this excellent reference Bible was allowed to go out of print. I still use my old, marked-up copy regularly and dearly LONG for a new leather-bound copy!
If you ever see a copy on a bookshelf, snatch it up. It's a KEEPER!
