Book Description

I have learned about life that when we live wholly, we live holy. I have been searching for ways to live my life as a whole person, as an integrated being, for twenty-five years. The first thing I came to understand was that, if I am to live an integrated life, I must become far more integrated with my environment. That is, I must become one with it, and treat it as if it were a part of me, not something from which I was separate, and which was separate from me.

Holistic living means being aware that I am part of a whole system, a whole idea, a whole reality, and that everything I think, say, and do affects that reality--indeed, at some level, creates it.

Are we able to coexist with nature, the universe, and our fellow human beings? Can we live lives that are joyous, harmonious, and largely pain-free? Do we have the ability to tell the truth and change what doesn't work?

Neale Donald Walsch thinks so. Living well--physically, mentally, and spiritually--is within our grasp, should we choose to do so. Here are some practical and inspirational ideas for achieving those goals.

From AudioFile

Condensed from a live seminar recording, this program allows the listener to hear the author's views on some important issues and to experience him in a more personal way. He makes his points by sharing poignant stories and by engaging intimately with the seminar participants. The live segments are interrupted periodically by studio recordings of Walsch elaborating a point or reading from one of his Conversation With God books to the sound of quiet music. The message is clear enough--that holistic living requires one to be integrated within one's self and with the universe. For many listeners, the author's comments and personal intensity will be fascinating additions to our understanding of Neale Walsch the man, as well as his message. 4.0 out of 5 stars A Unique Book, Oct 24 2000
By A Customer
I found the book extremely easy to read and follow. The religious ideas, although presented simply, have been thoroughly researched. Some ideas were repeated more often than necessary. The book presents a radically new concept of God, far removed from the traditional personification found in many religions. However, as the author does not have a background in science he has accepted the standard party line in this field instead of questioning it. The best book I have found that blends in science and religion in a fresh and forceful way is "Anita's Legacy."

5.0 out of 5 stars A brief summary of an amazing process, Aug 27 2000
By A Customer
If you are familiar with Mr. Walsch's other works, you already know something of the remarkable dialogue that he presents which are just tremendously insightful and uplifting. I have to honestly say that his books have made a very tangible and profound difference in my life for which I shall always be very grateful.

This book on holistic living presents a kind of mini-overview of some of the themes that were presented in his Conversations with God trilogy. Although it is brief and simple, it is nonetheless a beautiful summary of one of the core messages found in his other books having to do with discovering how the enjoyment of creating changes in one's life can have an overall positive effect on oneself, others, and the world at large. I wouldn't be put off by it's size or simplicity. If you enjoyed his other books, you will definitely find the same profound wisdom unfusing this edition. Enjoy.
