The Excalibur of plastic-and-foam swords! Aug. 22 2011

My son and I had so much fun with the Nerf N-Force Nerf N-Force Shadow Fury (Blue) swords that I decided it was time for an upgrade and ordered a pair of Marauder long swords - one red and one yellow. The Shadow Fury blades are super fun, but when you hold one of these babies you make a much more convincing knight.

Not only does it look cooler, the Marauder is longer, heavier and more durable than the Shadow Fury. It's sturdy enough to knock notches into the Shadow Fury, and hard enough to actually hurt a bit if your opponent gets past your defenses. My son is a little guy, so for him the Marauder is a two-handed weapon. An adult can swing this sword and keep a second hand free for a shield or a secondary weapon like the Nerf N Force Klaw Hatchet.

This really is the best weapon in the N-Force line. Yes, it's fairly pricey, but it's so much fun to battle an opponent with one of these swords in hand. You can get by with just one if you're going up against someone with a pair of Shadow Fury swords or a heavy weapon like the Nerf N-Force Warlock Axe - Yellow or Nerf N-Force Battlemaster Mace Axe, but ideally you want a pair of these for the best knight-style battles.

Awesome sword for team battles Nov. 27 2012
A Kid's Review - Published on
I live in Belgium in a castle with a farm witch is divided into apartments my friends and I (the kids from the other apartments) love to sword fight each other with a large variety of weapons some Nerf some not. Some friends have the Vendetta Double Sword, Warlock Axe, Battle Master Mace, different Nerf guns, and other Marauders. This is a great sword and it is extremely durable, it has only been damaged by one of my friends wooden sword. I have two friends with this sword and the tip of one of theirs broke of because the tip does not have the plastic core the rest of the blade has. I would cover the tip in duct tape to protect it. All in all this is a great sword with a lot of power, I hope you liked my review!

I am a NerfZerker! Sept. 17 2011

It's a Nerf sword! What more could you want? It's sturdy and well made, and although it looks like something out of the Power Ranger's TV show, a little paint on the handle can fix that. It's definitely something that could hurt someone if you jabbed them in the head with it, hence the warning to not stab with it, but something designed to hit somebody with it can only be made so safe, and this is as safe as you can get. I hope Nerf becomes an Olympic sport.

The Nerf family of swords are a stable to our home armory. I have three boys and I can't imagine withholding the sword fighting joy these toys have delivered to our family. They are so popular, I have gone so far as to expand the number of swords to include the neighborhood kids. Battle Royale!!!

Fantastic Nerf Sword! June 30 2011
By E. Kennedy - Published on
Arm yourself for Nerf-y battle! This is a great Nerf sword! Long swords are traditionally used with two hands and this one has the traditional proportions though it is obviously much lighter than the real thing. It does work best with two hands. Great if you're looking for a long sword for a costume or stage prop. You can always cover up the Nerf logos if you want to make it more authentic looking. Here's the Nerf video so you can get a better idea of the size of this.
