I found this book easy to read and full of facts that I didn't know about Scotland. It is broken down by Shires so you could read about a specific area without having to search through the whole book. I would recommend this as a gift to anyone who wants to know more about Scotland.

Alright. So I gave this book five stars with the explanation that it's not for the casual reader looking for 'fun facts' on Scotland. I would suggest that readers start with another book and 'graduate' to this tomb.

Good info on some of the obscure items in Scotland. Much of the information concerns, long ago battles and little known castles in out of the way places.

Having said all of this, I really liked the book...
