I was a bit hesitant buying a fitted hat online so I made sure to visit a couple of stores to try the fit. Even then hats aren't made of the same mold so it definitely a bit of a gamble. However, the discounted price here made the decision much easier.
This particular hat (Mets blue Authentic on-field) that I received fits like the other authentic ones I've tried on in store. Authentics do appear to be differently sized than non-authentic hats. It was packages pretty well, though granted I ordered a bunch of other things so it came in a good sized-box. Hat had all the stickers on it (Cool base, size, and authentic hologram.)
The hat I got is "Made in USA", which is pretty sought after. However, I have to take a star off the stitching quality of the hat: so many loose strands! Not just subtle ones along the edges, but also many many obvious ones on the logo itself. This is where I'm making the trade off between the prices online vs picking a flawless one from the store. I've spent the past hour fixing up some of the edges. Sure I'm a bit more attentive to these things than most. I was expecting some issues, but this is just annoying. It does not take anything away from the hat itself; it's brilliant on the whole. But I definitely could be happier.
(Maybe it's just a Mets thing. All the ones I've seen had some issues. Yankees hats are always made better...)
The colors are very good. The button is orange as it should be. I'm adding a little bit of fun to my hat collection next to my generally black and navy Yankees hats.
