New Metro Design's beater blade is an electric mixer attachment which thoroughly mixes batter, eliminating the need to stop and scrape the bowl manually. Model ka-thr fits all kitchenaid tilt head mixers regardless of the kitchenaid model numbers. Beater blades are engineered for use with top brand electric stand mixers, including most models offered by kitchenaid, cuisinart, delonghi and viking. A beater blade attachment beats, scrapes, folds and incorporates ingredients thoroughly for fool-proof baking. The new beater blade ingeniously improves on the functionality of standard v-shaped beaters offered with high-end stand mixers by crafting a high-quality, enhanced blade that includes a flexible rubber wing down the entire length of both sides of the blade. The durable, food-grade edging simulates the action of a powerful spatula to gently, yet thoroughly scrape the bowl clean. The wing-system design acts like a wiper blade that continuously scrapes sides and bottom of bowl while it mixes virtually eliminating hand-scraping and batter build-up on the blade. Beater blades state-of-the-art design continuously and automatically scrapes batters during mixing, which can speed up the process by as much as 50-percent. By eliminating the need to turn off and on the mixer to scrape the bowl, beater blade reduces wear of the motor of the mixer, as well. New Metro Designs beater blade excels in a full range of mixing applications, including creaming butter, sugar and eggs to fluffy perfection, and preparing frostings and pastry creams quickly and easily. Red colored blades.

August 2014 update - This mixer blade continues to be awesome. It shows absolutely no sign of wear and tear with a lot of use and is perfectly dishwasher safe. I agree with others that this should have been the standard included with the mixer.
I anticipate the life expectancy to be shorter than a genuine KitchenAid product.
I'm on a Christmas Cookie marathon. I've made over 300 cookies in the past 72 hours and I started that binge with the regular kitchen aid, which was such an upgrade from a hand mixer already, and then today I recieved this amazing little thing in the mail.
My god. buy it now. I have a classic tilt head mixer and it fits perfect, touches the bottom of both bowls [I bought the glass spouted bowl, which I adore too] and the difference it makes for not having to scrap stuff down is miraculous. When I first saw it I thought it wouldn't help because it's still shorter than the bowl by a lot but something about the angle of the blades draws the mix down. it's perfect. For those complaining about flour everywhere [sure, it happens. Especially the drier cookies] I suggest using the Baker Method which is sifting all dry ingredients on parchment, making a tunnel and SLOWLY dropping it in. It incorporates fast enough to prevent splashage. Even if you do make a mess a couple times, holymole is it still so worth it. I'm buying a second one right now.

Item arrived on time as order. Works perfectly.
Very happy with it.
One batch of cookies and it bent. Had I left it any longer it would have snapped. When I bought it I should have read the reviews. Breaking is a common thing. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Bookworm

It's plastic but that ok. Good quality.
Messy with flour since it goes right against side of bowl. Start mixer slow to start!
ont du retourné mon colis parce qu'il ne trouvait pas mon adresse
c'est vrai que c'est chiant livré dans le centre-ville de montreal...
I unwrapped it and it was plastic, but after using it, sure beats the one that came with the mixer. Saves a stop and using a spatula to get the sides. Seems to hold up.Published 6 months ago by David E Anderson
