It does matter that it had one of rare double A sides in form of We will Rock You and We are the Champions, but what matters more is they are ability to experiment & explore different forms and moods of music all at the same album. Let's go track by track.
We Will Rock You - We all know it is one of the most heard stadium anthems. People who does not even know about a band named 'Queen' has heard this song a few 100 times. (Generally sung before the game). Belong to the category Stadium rock!!!
We Are The Champions - Same as above. (Generally sung after winning the game). Belong to the category Stadium rock!!!
Sheer Heart Attack - A mix of Punk & hard rock. I like that eletronic sounding percussion. This song rocks the hell out.
All Dead, All Dead - A pop sounding ballad kind of thing! A bit difficult to categorize, but it is a great song. Great vocals.
Spread Your Wings - Power ballad. Good guitar solo at the end and great vocals as usual.
Fight From The Inside - Punk sonding hard rock again. Good use of echo with Freddie's vocal.
Get Down, Make Love - Only week song according the me in this album. Lyrics is Dirrtier than Christina. Tune is a little boring.
Sleeping On The Sidewalk - Vocals by Bryan. 50's-60's rock n' roll. Simple & sweet structure.
Who Needs You - Second best song in the album (written by John). A fun song with a lot of acoustic guitar. Very different pop sounding song by this great group.
It's Late - This is a super rock song about love with a progressive touch. Bryan divides the song in 3 scenes. Best song of the album.
My Melancholy Blues - A very melancholic song. Freddie excels again. Depressing way to the album but the song itself is very good.
Final Verdict: Great album. Queen incorporates a lots of different styles into a single album. 5 starts all the way. I also feel it is a good place to start listening to them. Buy it.

There! I like how 'Sheer Heart Attack' ends abruptly to end side 1 (or just before 'Get Down Make Love'). Either way it sounds better there. It follows 'Fight From the Inside' pretty well too. 'All Dead All Dead' & 'Spread Your Wings' sound smoother and more natural following 'Rock You & 'Champions' especially because they have piano in them. A couple of blues based rockers 'Sleeping On the Sidewalk' & 'It's Late' go well together on side 2 as well. This album doesn't quite have the knockout energy of other Queen albums but it's a simpler, more refined rock statement that is no less interesting. There are beautiful moments in the rock and roll and 'Get Down Make Love' is about as down and dirty as Queen gets. Great album!
