Great Show, not so great quality..,

The price for this entire series really can't be beat but I was kind of disappointed by the packaging and the quality of the video. It doesn't look as though anything was done to clean up the quality of the video, it looks more like something that was taped by a really good VCR, but that doesn't really cut it for DVD. Also, cramming all the discs onto a single spindle is also very annoying, the box itself having the strength of a cereal box. Overall it looks and feels like a cheap knock-off of what should have been a much better presentation for what is a really great show. I would have paid a little more for something of a little higher quality, at least video-wise.

Great series but the packaging sucks,

Newsradio is a great sitcom from the glory days of sitcoms and having received my set today, I was all ready to crack it open and start watching them. I opened it up and to my surprise, I am greeted with all 12 discs in a spindle. I find this very akward packaging because if I want to watch a specific disc, you've got to dig through all the discs on top just to get to it. I think this packaging can only lead to you scratching the discs. All the discs are also just taken from the individual season box sets and put into this one, which is not that surprising, but that coupled with the spindle, is bad form in my opinion. I just took out the spindle, put each disc in a generic dvd envelope and that's how they'll be stored in the box, not pretty but better for their lifespan. Anyways....gotta go.....I've got some Newsradio to watch.

Until the death of Phil Hartman, this was one of the best shows on television. Even the dated, Clinton-era references are still funny. A hilarious ensemble cast, each with their own best episode. And if you don't believe me, well, TUBELCAIN!The packaging leaves much to be desired. The DVDs are salvaged from the single season packages (if you try ordering the single seasons you'll find Amazon backordering on you and pushing back the delivery date on you every couple of days - and this is why). The DVD factory decided to go cheap and not include the ultra-thin diamond DVD cases that more popular DVD box sets have. Instead you get a spindle - well more like a sheet of molded plastic much like you'd find in a pack of cookies. I've bought my own ultra-thin cases but sadly the company didn't bother to make the box to fit the ultra-thin case (missed it by an 8th of an inch, so in the end the packaging sits abandoned.
