This album is a must for Iced Earth fans! In my opinion it's one of Iced Earth's strongest efforts if not their strongest. Much like it's predecessor it's mainly thrash riff oriented (coming from a band that has mainly been labeled power metal) but chock-full of impressive riffing, banshee like screams, and overall just great music.
There are a few problems I have with this record though: 1) It's supposed to be a concept album, but I feel as though it's story its nothing more than an outline, there is no expansion on the plot nor the character. 2) the production could have been better (especially for a remaster)
In closing, the album is a true underrated classic, it's been more than 20 years since it's release and sounds just as fresh as it did in 1992.
