Better Than Dark Universe, Mar 3 2005
By Joshua Koppel - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Nightworlds (Mass Market Paperback)
I was disappointed when I read Dark Universe but I still decided to give Nightworlds a try. I am glad I did. All of the stories in this collection have been selected for inclusion by the author. These really are some of his best and most innovative.
The stories in this volume are dark and definitely deserving of an author considered a great in the horror field. Some are disturbing, some are unsettling, and some are just plain spooky. There is also a little science fiction included (although just as dark as the others).
If you like a good collection of tales to cause shivers, you can certainly do far worse than this collection of zombies, psychopaths, invaders, and things that go slash in the night.

Nightworlds, Dec 27 2004

Not as good a collection as Dark Universe, but still a superior
collection of short stories. William F. Nolan is a true master of the short story. Not to much gore, but usually a twist at the end that will make the story stick out in your mind.
