From Amazon.ca

Modern handheld gaming has long been dominated by Nintendo and Sony. Each hardware manufacturer has multiple viable offerings derived either directly, or evolving from the respective DS and PlayStation Portable product lines. All of these devices are impressive multifunctional devices, with designs meant to encourage gameplay on the go, integration with the Internet, backwards compatibility to previous games, and so on, but each goes about this in different ways. Taking a few minutes to examine the main features, and getting more familiar with available options, accessories and possible limitations of each handheld is the optimal way to determine which is the best choice for a player.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Impressed with my DSi April 8 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Just a small note, I have never used a Ds/lite up till I bought my DSi, although I did come across a DS lite for dirt cheap from a friend as of May

Strengths:

Quite a few good game titles out there
Screens are nice and big for a handheld (3.25inch)
Sound quality is very good, not a giant improvement over DS lite
Touch screen is responsive
Being able to swap games without powering down the unit is very helpful (works for switching from camera/game store back to the main menu. Think of the power button as a way to get back to the main screen no matter where you are)
DSiWare shop looks promising, at this point in time it is quite limited, with only 6-10 games/applications on it currently. However I can see it having good potential down the road, if the DSiWare shop is the major selling point for you now, hold off a little bit.
Charges in about 2.5 hours, which is quite quick
Extra brightness level is nice, but I usually play on level 3 out of 5 (DS lite goes up to 4/5 max compared to DSi)
WiFi was easy to setup, and now supports WPA at least on newer games (you need to setup WPA in profiles 4-6, it WILL NOT work in 1-3)
Slightly slimmer design and a bit longer, but will fit in most DS Lite cases etc
Wifi activity lights are helpful

Cons: Battery life is shorter than Ds Lite but it is still good enough for me.
Camera is...mediocre in comparison to some cell phone cameras etc. But when you view the picture on the DSi itself, it looks not too bad. Good enough for uploading a quick picture to facebook etc.
No GBA slot, but I don't own a single GBA game so no real loss here for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars dsi black Dec 25 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I enjoyed using this game from the second I opened the box. Easy to use and a lot of fun - especially with the built in camera and lenses. I have only played one game on it so far, but it is great for using to fill in time I would have spent waiting and not doing anything else.

Would recomend for anyone who enjoys this type of game.

i got it pretty fast, which is awesome. Except i could see on the DSi, that itd been used a lot, the screen is a bit loose, the right bumper button sticky, hard to use, scratches on it all over, screen itself had scratches, but for the money i spent on it i do think it was worth it an im still glad i purchased it, thanks!
