There is no question that when it has came down to Mario, he has been one of the most influential video game characters of all time. His influence on gaming for over 25 years has been absolutely strong and definitely withstands the test of time, in more ways than one. Not just in his escapades with trying to save Princess Toadstool from the clutches of Bowser, but also in sports as well. The gaming genius has been so strong not just in gaming, but bringing sports to a young generation of Nintendo gamers. With Nintendo set to wind down the Wii soon, it still isn't too late to go back and buy those classic Wii games you've missed out on the first time around, and get a new chance of gaming your way to the top, Mario's way in soccer, and that is just a goal away.
Mario Strikers Charged for the Nintendo Wii, as a part of the new Nintendo Selects series, that re-introduces classic Wii games at a cheaper price to those who've missed out on the Wii the first time around. In Mario Strikers Charged, Mario and his friends are at it again on the soccer field, as they go against each other in tournaments that are even wilder than Super Mario Strikers had shown from the Nintendo Gamecube era. The object of the game is to try and out score each other, and rise above the rankings in tournament mode. There are so many great charcters to play from Mario, Wario and Yoshi, to Luigi and Daisy. The gameplay fares well, and the graphics really look amazing, bringing Mario and his friends into a fierce melee of action, and the sound stands out well. The control takes a bit to get used to, unlike the Gamecube version. It takes awhile to control on kicking. You have to be very percise to score your goals, and at times that can be very rough. But as you play, you really can get your rhythm down. The gameplay also fares better as you can battle your foes online as well, as one of the first Wii games to battle your friends via wi-fi.
Overall, Mario Strikers Charged isn't a bad game to master, and play. If you've recently bought a Wii, or never played Mario Strikers Charged the first time around, than give Mario Strikers Charged a try. If you've also loved Mario Super Sluggers and the recent Mario Sports Mix, than I really suggest Mario Strikers Charged. It can be a more than a goal away, but honestly the fun can be more than a just a fireball kick away.
