This is a rather surprisingly fun game to play. At least it is addictive anyway. There is a good variety of music. The stories are a bit cheesy but I think that is what they were going for. So with that in mind, I think the game is done very well. The graphic style is either a love or hate relationship which is why I only gave it 3 stars.Still, this is pretty good value for the money, game is the kind that can be replayed and is addictive so you get your money worth.

Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Elite Beat Agents (Video Game)
Before the rhythm game genre became dominated by plastic instruments and pretend rock stars, there was Elite Beat Agents. The game challenges players to tap along to catchy pop songs on the bottom screen, all while zany stories of personal hardship play out above. If it sounds weird, that's because it is - but it's also one of the very best games on DS, and perhaps the best rhythm game of all time.High praise for a title that came out several years ago, but to this day there have been no rhythm games to match it for simplicity and challenge. There are 18 levels, and four difficulties. The first run through the game gets you familiar with the controls. The second adds a significant layer of complexity to the beat structure. It's the third and four difficulties that really show of the game design. Challenging, complex, addictive and really, really fun. I've had this game for years, since it was first released, and still play it every once in a while. Elite Beat Agents is an overlooked gem, not to be missed.
