Is There A Bathroom On The Enterpise?, Oct 18 2003
This review is from: The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers Volume 1 (Paperback)
Volume II of the TNG Nitpickers Guide continues to look at the series and all of its flubs. Picking up where the previous guide left off, the book starts by poking gentle fun at season 7 of the show, as well as the first TNG motion picture, Generations.
The rest of the book is made up of more mistakes from the first six seasons, missed by author Phil Farrand, and submitted by readers of volume one. Like all of the other Nitpicker Guides, the book is laid out the same way.
Once again, this is all done in a tounge in cheek, wink wink writing style. It's pretty clear that Farrand is a tried and true fan. His is a fun look at the series, with lots of humor and affection for the show. I give the author, and his research team, a lot of credit. This task could not have been an easy one (but I'll bet it was a lot fun to put together).
Die hard and casual fans alike will enjoy this book. Volume II has 407 pages and is recommended

Great Book, Jun 10 2002
This review is from: The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers Volume 1 (Paperback)
This is one of the most gratifying books I have ever read. As a self-proclaimed grammar cop, it is great to know that someone is paying as much attention to detail as I do. I pull out the ol' Nitpicker's Guide every time I watch an episode of TNG, but I have also read it cover-to-cover about 5 times. I am absolutely amazed by the thoroughness of the author (as well as by the amount of free time he must have!) I love this book.

This book is great!, Dec 23 2001
This review is from: The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers Volume 1 (Paperback)
If you are into nitpicking, this book is great. While reading it, I was able to remember most of the scenes that were discussed, but the best way to read this book is with the episode playing in the background. Some nits require that you freeze and rewind to catch it. Each episode review contains trivia questions, but they are hard, so dont feel bad if you get them wrong. Also, Season seven is not covered in this one. It is included in part 2. I recommend this for al Trekkers. This author has also come out with a Deep Space Nine book, and Original series book, and an X-files book, as well as a sequel to this one. It must be nice to make a living nitpicking TV episodes!
