Book Description

July 10 2012 NO BS

"My research shows we are heading into a major shake-out in business that will determine the leaders for decades to come. This will REQUIRE creative marketing and positionin, and there is no better source than Dan Kennedy on this topic. His book No B.S. Guide to Trust-Based Marketing is rich with vital insights." -- Harry S. Dent, Jr., author, The Great Crash Ahead

Trust Between Consumers and Businesses is Gone Here's How to Fix It

Internationally recognized "millionaire maker," Dan S. Kennedy, joined by entrepreneur and financial consultant, Matt Zagula, show you how to break down the barriers caused by the "trust no one" mantra invading every customer's mind today.

They deliver an eye-opening look at the core of all business--trust, and teach you the secrets to gaining it, keeping it, and using it to build competitive differentiation, create price elasticity, attract more affluent clients, and inspire referrals. You'll get the essential strategies required to build trust in an understandably untrusting world, and in turn, attract both business and profits.

No B.S. Trust-Based Marketing covers:

  • 8 ways to demonstrate trustworthiness to prospective clients
  • The #1 secret desire of today's untrusting prospects--how to understand it, respond to it, and use it to transform marketing, prospecting, and presentations
  • How to avoid dumb mistakes that scream "salesman" to prospects
  • Why "Where can I find clients?" is the wrong question. The right question is: How can I construct a business persona and life so that clients seek me out, with trust in place in advance?
  • How to keep products, services and prospects away from the avalanche of competitive and confusing information online
  • The incorrect assumption that trust is built by imparting information and knowledge and a breakthrough technique to replace this mistake

I'm not always a fan of Dan Kennedy's books. He treats a lot of his books as though they were a giant sales letter - or that's how it seems to me sometimes.

He does a bit of that in this book - he certainly makes sure you know how much money he gets paid by his clients - but I was loving this book so much I didn't mind! And, he weaved in the stories of how much he charges while explaining how his own client acquisition system is all set up to establish trust before he even meets his client. That made is really interesting and certain established his credibility (one of the keys to trust!).

I took a lot of notes and found it useful, interesting, engaging, and most of all, easy to apply to any business!

Business owners, sales people and anyone in marketing will be glad they read this book. Whether you're face to face with your clients or you're direct mailing letters, this is a step by step guide to help you build more trust in your relationships, business and products/services.

Here's something from early in the book that really got me paying attention to how people react to messages and solicitations "You can forget all the rational reasons no one should fear you. They do. Most people are quietly, privately frightened by just about everything in their lives and every decision they make. Don't take it personally."

It's not just that people distrust salespeople it's that they distrust themselves WITH the salespeople.

That's a big challenge to overcome but he lays it out very nicely as to how you can systematically build trust with anyone in any business.

So knowing that, what can you do to create trust? He answers that question clearly so you'll have to read it to find out. :)

This book is filled with concrete actions you can take to market your business in ways that will engender trust.
It tells you why you need your customers to trust you and what not to do. I know it seems obvious that you would want potential customers to see you as trustworthy, but he illustrates -- quite graphically -- that most businesses ACT as though they don't care about our trust.
I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dan Kennedy's best work yet July 22 2012
By J. Jones - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I receive this book on Thursday, started reading on Friday and finished it Sunday afternoon; I couldn't put it down. I've read most of Dan's books and think this is one of, if not THE best one he's done. Matt Zagula's real world examples and strategies help tremendously. I have six pages of Action Item notes. I got more out of this book than I did the $10,000 Trust Based Marketing Workshop of Dan & Matt's I attended, and that was very good. This book is GREAT!

I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone where increased trust will help you grow your businesses successfully (that's EVERYONE).

2.0 out of 5 stars Kennedy Hype Oct 27 2012
By GAW - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
It's a typical Dan Kennedy product. The book is a giant sales letter. He tells you that you can get rich, and he tells alot of stories about other people who got rich by hiring him,
but he offers no substance. He then tells you how you can buy more of his self promotional material to possibly learn what you wanted to learn in the book that you learned nothing from.
