5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book for parents!, Mar 30 2009

I used Elizabeth Pantley's book The No cry Sleep Solution with my second child and loved it, so when I saw her new book for nap times I was thrilled.
Pantley's short chapters are so parent friendly that it is easy to grab a bit of reading "between naps" and feel ready to work with your little one!
I personally love the photos scattered throughout the book, as they are a great example of the reality of sleeping children.
The image of "sleeping Ryan" on page 87- a little boy who has fallen asleep on his scooter toy is great!

What I appreciate about the approach to this book is learning about the importance of sleep for a child and the creation of a "Hush hour" if the child is resistant to napping.
All in all this book provided more information then I expected, since I had already read her first book--a must buy for parents looking to help their little ones nap longer and learn to have a quiet time during their day.
Thanks again Elizabeth!

5.0 out of 5 stars No more swinging the car seat around for me!, Jan 12 2009
By R. D. Agnillo "Rosanna" (California) - See all my reviews

Hi,
I found this book really helpful. It goes into a lot of detail about the sleep disorders in little ones, explaining why this is happening to your baby and helping you through the fog of exhaustion that prevents a mom from exploring solutions. There's obviously some repetition from her previous books but it's still worth the money because it goes through the sleeping issues and solutions in more detail. It's easy to read, comforting, compassionate and easy to reference when you need to find a solution to a particular problem. Keep it handy as your child changes his / her nap habits as I found myself going back to it a few times for advice on a new stage of development.

5.0 out of 5 stars The No-Cry Nap Solution, Sep 24 2009

I'm almost done reading this and I only started yesterday! It's an easy read. For once, a professional who doesn't tell you what your child must do, but rather offers suggestions based on the issue you're experiencing. She respects that each child is different and that you need to find what works for you.
