Noise is the story of a happily married father in Manhattan who over time develops a strange annoyance with the constant noise surrounding him. He particularly dslikes car alarms that go off in the middle of the night. The character (played by Tim Robbins) then embarks on a noise-vigilante spree and eventually a showdown against the town mayor (played by William Hurt) in oan attempt to win his battle against noise.Noise is a fairly amusing film about a somewhat outrageous concept. Robbins' performance dominates the film, as he masterfully plays the progression of a man increasingly losing his grip on sanity. The film wanders at points but he climax is hilarious. Noise is an enjoyable film definitely worth a rental.
