beadwork patterns,

This review is from: North American Indian Beadwork Patterns (Paperback)
This book has excellant patterns but no colored pics, makes it hard to visualize what you are creating, or like in most cases would like to change. The amount and quality of patterns is wonderful though and out weights the lack of pictures.

This book is loaded with patterns that are easy to follow. All designs represent a variety of American Indian nations as well as floral designs. They range in sizes. Patterns for both bead weaving/loom and applique. Very good source for ideas to use on regalia items or everyday wear.

A must have.,

A friend taught me how to make a hat band on a loom. I wanted to do more because I fell in love with loom beading. This book has wonderful projects and has tons of patterns. The only thing I don't like about this book is there are no color pictures. I have solved that problem for myself. I have a program that I can design cross stitch patters (which is really good for loom work). I started using this and with the colors this book recommends, I can now see what these patterns look like in color. I found another way, if you don't have/want this program, is to use colored pencils (you can get close to the colors the book suggests) to see what these patterns look like. Other than not having colored pictures, this book is a must have. There are tons of patterns, all is different sizes and easy to read. All these patterns are designed so that you can either use a loom or you can use them as embroidery or applique.
