This review is from: North By Northwest / La mort aux trousses (50th Anniversary Bilingual Edition) (DVD)
This movie is an all time classic suspense thriller. The debonair (Grant) along with a great supporting cast, carry this picture from start to finish. It is charming, exciting and full of adventure. There will be no blood and guts to see, just good clean film making at it's best. Oh did I not mention the Director? The master of suspense. Alfred Hitchcock. Buy it, You'll love it.

Roger O. Thornhill: Ad exec by day, spy by night?,
By Annie Van Auken - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: North by Northwest (50th Anniversary Edition) (DVD)
NORTH BY NORTHWEST is by far my favorite Hitchcock thriller. It's a genuine nail biter throughout, with several excellent action sequences, a wonderful cast, superb story and a climax that remains 50 years later one of the greatest of all time! This film belongs in all home video libraries.SYNOPSIS-- Advertising executive Roger Thornhill (Grant) is mistaken for CIA agent George Kaplan by a gang of spies headed by the evil Phillip Vandamm (Mason). He's captured, almost killed and barely escapes. To clear himself of a murder charge, Thornhill tries to locate the real Kaplan, with the aid of beautiful Eve Kendall (Eva Marie Saint). After just missing Kaplan in Chicago, the search continues. Thornhill has no idea of the many dangers ahead! . Cary Grant was in three other Alfred Hitchcock pictures: SUSPICION (1941) NOTORIOUS (1946) TO CATCH A THIEF (1955) . Parenthetical number preceding title is a 1 to 10 IMDb viewer poll rating.
