Digitally remastered edition of this 1971 album from the British guitarist, vocalist and former Be Bop Deluxe leader. Northern Dream was recorded on rudimentary equipment at Holyground studios in Wakefield in 1971. One of the first truly independently produced albums to be released in Britain, the album featured wonderful compositions such as 'Everyone's Hero', 'End of the Seasons', 'Love's a Way' and 'Smiles'.

what a great reissue of this semi classic debut by bill nelson, of coarse i first got into nelson as he was the key player in be bop deluxe but after hearing some of his stuff outside of be bop deluxe i can call myself a fan, this was his first album some 40 odd years ago, the remastering on this record is fantastic and the booklet tells you everything you need to know about this release, the sound and production on this is similar to the classic drastic plastic be bop album from 78, this record just really has that vibe to it, granted bills material is an aquired sound, if you liked the classic albums be bop did like sunburst finish, axe victim or the classic live in the airrage then i think its safe to say you will like his first solo outing pre be bop deluxe..........
