This is great story and character driven tv, an absolutely classic series. The characters are endearing, quirky, and memorable. This is especially interesting to watch in this format because the story stands out so much more than watching on tv with commercials.

Unfortunately, those who remember the series when it was first on will notice not all the music has made it into this "Complete Series". Music was such a huge part of the fabric of this amazing story, it is unfortunate the original product was altered or indeed cut out entirely. Not sure why this was done, must be some sort of cost saving measure on behalf of the people releasing this set. Picture quality is very good though, great showcasing of the gorgeous Alaskan landscape.

Great flashback for the first two seasons of 80's clothes and hair. What a bad decade.

All in all, recommended watching.

I watched this series when it first ran on TV. I must admit I never had a chance to see the pilot episode. But from the 2nd episode on, I watched the program with great interest. It has a wonderful storyline. I got rapt up in the series and was sad when it had its ending after only five seasons. I love the show and I am impressed in the package it came in a bag of all things. Great idea. Looks great on my shelf.

I only ever saw this show randomly when it was on tv, but once I purchased the first season I was completely addicted. I now own all six seasons and have watched them each numerous times. The series is extremely refreshing, inventive, and brilliantly funny. Very worth every penny!!
