really good, but could have been better, Mar 23 2003
This review is from: Northern Exposure (Audio CD)
I love Northern Exopsure, so I had to get this CD. All the songs on here are extremely addictive and you'll find yourself singing along with them in no time. I certainly find myself smiling whenever I watch all my old NX tapes and I hear one of these songs in the back ground. However, that's just what they are ... background songs. Although I really like the CD and play it often, I think it would have been much better to have songs that were actually featured on the show rather than ones that were only in the background. I mean, any real NX soundtrack should have songs like "Our Town", "Toy Cows in Africa", "Pencil Neck Geek", and Enya's "Ebudae". I know I'm making my own CD with those songs and more on it. However, if you want some catchy quirky songs to listen to with a wonderful picture of our favorite DJ on the cover, deffinetly get this CD.

Go to your happy place, Feb 3 2002
This review is from: Northern Exposure (Audio CD)
True fans of Northern Exposure cannot miss this album. From the first note I was transported to a better place, the show's theme (the complete version of which I had never heard before, it's fantastic!) being my guide. Whether you want to dance blissfully with your spouse to Etta James' soul fullfilling "At Last" or watch a couple of your kids boogie to the beat of catchy tunes like "Hip-Hug-Her" and "Everybody be Yoself" this CD brings a little bit of the spirit of the show right into your living room.

A little bit of everything, Jun 17 2003
Nice compilation of a variety of music, from classical to jazz to blues to French to rock to Indian... perfect for parties. Nothing too "out there" and nothing too tame, either.
