One The Art And practice of conscious leadership is a fabulous piece of work. Perhaps the most pressing issue of our time is how do individuals tap into their creativity and courage to make change both at work and in their own lives. This Book Lays out the Road Map.

I read someone else's review of this book on Amazon.com and they compared it to a fine wine. I agree with this review however I have limited expertise in fine wine. I say the book is less filling because as the author says in the preface, he invested the time to keep it short and powerful. I like that. You can read this book in an afternoon. I say tastes great because while he introduces a significant sampling of interesting concepts and ideas, shares stories and examples as well as offers practical applications, I found all of them all to be very agreeable (tasty). While much of it is unconventional, all of it is resonates with my inner taste bud. I always enjoy it when I read something new but realize it's something that somehow I have always known. The book seems to tap into the unconscious field of knowledge which we all have access to (to a greater of lesser extent, depending on your malt beverage consumption). The book has infinitely better value than other options at this price point (including a 24 of Miller Light). Having finished the book you will awaken the next day fulfilled, inspired and well prepared for a new way of leading. (if you opt for the 24 you will be hung over, thirsty, and well prepared for a full day in front of the television)

Lance Secretan has a keen sense of timing. The message of his new book "ONE: The Art and Practice of Conscious Leadership" is just what many of the leaders that I work with in my training and consulting practice are looking for. We long to be inspired by the leaders we work with and Lance shows us how by using a combination of research, visionary thinking, and actual stories of real people and organizations that have found a "better way". His message is timeless and simple...with the power to transform how we live and work together. I highly recommend it.
