Unsure,

This review is from: OXO Good Grips Good Grips Turkey Baster (Kitchen)
This seemed to work great until the 4th time we used it and it just sortof... stopped sucking up liquid. I used to really love OXO Good Grips, and I especially love their peeler. But after this crapped out, and my $35 garlic press fell apart- I think I'm gonna stop buying their products.

Waste of money,

Oxo usually designs their products so thoughtfully, I was willing to pay a little extra for this baster. For $10, I expected this to be a high-quality product, but it was a total disappointment. First, the hole at the tip is so large, the liquid runs out without even sqeezing the bulb. Then the plastic peice that cradles the bulb kept falling down into the pan juices. I'm not even sure what function it serves. It's mediocre at best, and everyone would be wise to buy something else.

Bulb & Collar pop off constantly,

Okay, I know I'm just "bumping" what others have stated, but the more the reviews, the better. This is my very first OXO disappointment. I have many other OXO products (I'm kind of an OXO junkie in fact). The collar slides down the basting tube into the roasting pan, then the bulb pops off causing the tube to fall into the pan as well. Ucky, messy, greasy, and dangerous to retrieve out of a hot metal roasting pan!The cleaning brush is nice. I'll keep for the replacement I'm going to need to find for Thanksgiving next week! 8 of 9 people found the following review helpful

Works if you use it properly,
By Susan Ernst - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: OXO Good Grips Good Grips Turkey Baster (Kitchen)
I was having the same frustrating problem with the bulb and collar falling off. Like those of you who are familiar with the superior tools from Oxo, it didn't make sense that this was due to poor design. I was convinced I was using it wrong, especially after reading reviews from those who love it. Sure enough, after experimenting, I found that you have to use it like a true syringe, by putting two fingers underneath the collar, while pushing down on the bulb with your thumb--works beautifully! If you just squeeze the bulb without holding the collar, everything falls apart. I gave this four starts, because Oxo should emphasize this little nuance on the packaging.
