A better class of memory foam,

Obusforme memory foam pillows have been my preferred sleep head support for 15 years now, and in that time I have used several models ranging in price from $30 to $100 dollars.My impression from my experience from Obusforme pillows is that what the extra money buys you is foam with more memory. While a less expensive memory foam pillow may be equally firm, requiring the same force to displace the foam an equal degree, the more premium memory foam, for lack of a better term, bounces back less quickly. This results in more evenly distributed pressure and, for me, a more comfortable night's sleep. This particular pillow, for me, is a good one. While it is a touch firmer than I would prefer, by head feels evenly and comfortably supported, and my spine ends up fairly straight. What more do you want from a pillow? What's not to like? The cloth cover that comes with this pillow to protect the memory foam is very light weight and of mediocre quality. You may wish to add an after-market cover (I prefer terry-cloth). I have some neck issues and my doc suggested I get a cervical pillow. I looked around and decided on this model. Amazon offered the best deal, when you add in free shipping. The first night? I tried it, thought it was too hard and threw it on the ground. Second night? Decided I would try it and now I love it! It takes some getting used to by my neck seems to be happier and that makes me happier!! Well worth the investment for a good nights sleep!

After nearly two months my wife still loves her Obus, yet it still has a fairly strong odor coming from the foam. The Obus customer service people said that this smell was normal, but if it contiued to be too strong that they would replace the pillow assuming we still have the receipt (which we don't).

I like the contours of this pillow, but even after a break-in period of 3 weeks, it remained uncomfortably firm. I have never needed a plush pillow, so I think this reflects more on the pillow than on me. I'm using it instead for a back-rest when I stretch out on my couch to watch tv. Wish it hadn't cost so much.
