This is a really good show that takes a bit of time to get into...After the first two episodes though, you really find that the show gets better...I am looking forward to season 2.

The show is about a writer who returns to his home town after being gone for a very long time. He has to face his old girlfriend, his father, his family and old friends, and try to make a life again for himself here. Engaging dialogue, interesting story-lines, and very very good characters and acting. Give it a shot like I did, you won't regret it.

Unbelievable performances from a group of actors and actresses who's chemistry makes the series so believable, one would think that they are part of what is happening on the screen. At least that is how the series made me feel. Can't get enough of watching October Road. That is why I bought my own copy. The location makes one want to move there. The music has me tapped into the times and brings back a lot of memories because of it. The writers and those who colaborated the music to the script should have received an award for their efforts. I feel like it was a tragedy that it only went to 2 seasons. Those who made that decision did not see what they had in the story or its performers. Those who made the decision to end the series should find another occupation.

Best TV show in years Jan. 9 2008
By Erin - Published on Amazon.com

October Road may run short of the "Drama" of some of today's other shows, but that is why it's so good. No one is being murdered or raped, 14 year olds aren't sleeping with their teachers, and people aren't being blown up. There are very few shows on TV today that are both interesting and appropriate for anyone, especially for teens. When Gilmore Girls went off the air after 7 wonderful seasons, I thought it would be a long time before a wholesome, but exciting and interesting show was on again. October Road is that show. Watch it!

Great show...hope they keep making it Oct. 30 2007

October Road is one of those shows, that when you start watching it, you can't stop. It has a great storyline that keeps you asking for more. Only Issue I have is that there is only six episodes in the first season. I hope that they continue to make this show, it would be a pity if they stopped.

Really is a great show. July 26 2007

There aren't many shows that can put the main character in such a place as they do in October road, and succeed. This show is wonderful. It leaves you wondering what's going to happen next and it always leaves you guessing. The book that the show is based on is great as well. I recommend that if you have seen the show that you read the book. This is defiantly worth getting if you're a true Byran Greenberg fan. It was also just announced that they're bringing October road back for a second season according to Bryan Greenberg's reps.

By KACHITO - Published on Amazon.com

I recently watched the entire first season on SoapNet. This show automatically drew me in. It took my whole Saturday, from 12-7pm, because once I watched the first episode I couldn't stop watching! Just absolutely loved it! Can't wait for the second season and I'm seriously thinking about buying the first season. October Road is definitely a MUST SEE for people who enjoy these types of series!!!
