NICE WORK, Nov 24 1998

Contained in this book is no story but merely a collection of ramblings by the boy Hughes on subjects that you talk about with your mates down the pub - sex, music, drugs, marriage etc etc. The only difference is that he makes more sense than your boozed up drinking buddies. Always likeable, always readable and very short (140 pages) it is sprinkled with some of his poetry, which if like me you will read a couple and then decide to skip the rest. Mark Steel's "Not a Runner Bean" is a superior wittier book, but still this one hits the spot.

A comedian that makes you cry is a rare thing, but Sean makes you cry, laugh and think about the ordinary. An average mans life is extrodinary through Seans eyes.
