5.0 out of 5 stars Mind-boggling Dec 7 2011
By Bobalou
Format:Hardcover
I've known for some time that Offshore tax havens were used to shelter some income from taxes, but until reading this book I assumed it was a relatively minor problem in the bigger scheme of things. This very well researched (and easy to understand) little edition blew my socks off. The tens of trillions of dollars involved and the cozy relationship between states, giant corporations, mafias and financial institutions makes it apparent to me that George Orwell's 1984 has snuck up on us without us realizing it. If reading this volume does not fuel your indignation, nothing will. A must-read for anyone who cares about the state of our world.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unreadable Jan 15 2013

I think this is the first book I've ever purchased that I couldn't finish. In fact I had real trouble getting through the introduction. It's simply a tirade against capitalism. Don't waste your money unless you need something to line your cat's litter box.
