not that good...,

I'm usually a fan of Chris Poland's work, but I found this "musical collaboration" quite a bit boring.It sounds like jams that were never been "refined" to come up with great songs structures, with punch, focused, etc., etc. Some riffs, themes and solos are really great... but the songs doesn't bring any "enlightment" whatsoever ! I'm sorry about that, but, for me, it doesn't work well. I still prefer Ohm: and Megadeth.

Who'd a thought these guys would get together... Ohm is amazingly prog with fusion, Chris Pollard did a tour with Megadeth and a shred solo album. Umphrey's Magee is totally Jam Band. This is great! They ought to do this periodically. They ought to do a tour.

OK this cd rocks! If you like Chris, Kofi & Pag's band "OHM" you will love this & this cd is 1/2 the energy that you get from seeing them live! They are so full of energy & fun & it spills over to the audience! Chris & Rob probably are two of the best & shredding musicians I have seen! I have seen, Howe, Satch, Vai, Petrucci, Geddy, Squire, Franklin, Levin etc...& they don't compare to these two! Chris & Rob are the coolest cats around LA. You can talk tech stuff with them like they are your next door neighbors. Not the stuck up musician dudes that you often find in LA. They are too cool. We see them every chance we get & you should too....

This is a great studio album of improvisations by members of OHM and Umphreys Mcgee. The band is currently doing some live dates. Keep an eye out in your area.
