Pleasant Surprise April 20 2008
By K. Johnson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
START OF BACK COVER TEXT - Nadine Butler is a popular disc-jockey on Squire's Isle, Washington. Due to her public persona, she is content with being in the closet. At the end of a particularly long day, Nadine goes to a Town Hall meeting with her girlfriend. During a debate concerning the banning of a book from the town library, Nadine surprises everyone, including herself, when she inadvertently "outs" herself. Word spreads like wildfire through the small town and, before long, Nadine finds herself threatened with unemployment because her sponsors are pulling out of her show. Desperate, and given one last chance to be on the air, Nadine barricades herself in the booth. With help coming from some unforeseen corners, she decides to make the most of her last time On the Air. - END OF BACK COVER TEXT

This book arrived on my doorstep as part of a large order. Unfortunately, it found its way to the bottom of the stack and I took a while to get to it. This will probably come across the wrong way, but I have to say it anyway. Geonn Cannon is a man. I didn't realize this until I read the author bio. My first thought was - can a man write a believable story about a lesbian? Later that day, when I finished the last page, I realized this was one of the most sensual and well-written stories about a lesbian I've ever read. Geonn Cannon may not be a woman, but he knows how one thinks. Bravo!

The back cover description is pretty accurate, so I won't rehash to plot here. I'll just say the book is quite good (4.5 stars out of 5) and I'll read another book by this author any time.

Can't wait for more Nov. 18 2008
By Verda Foster - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I'm not going to give a synopsis of the book because others have already done a good job with that. What I will say is he drew me in with this well thought out story. I didn't want to stop turning those pages and was sorry to see it end. I liked these women and would have liked to visit with them a while longer.

Geonn does a wonderful job of slowly developing these characters, creating a relationship between them that's compelling and believable. He delivers a story ripe with human emotions, human frailties and strengths. Full of that angst we all love. I love his work and hope he keeps writing for a long, long time.

Talented Writer...Can't Wait to See More Nov. 24 2008
By Maekala West - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
On The Air is the first from what I hope will be a very prolific writer or lesbian romance. Geonn Cannon understands the depth of feeling within a lesbian relationship and describes the ups and downs with such beautiful prose that the reader would never guess that he is, in fact, a man.

I look forward to reading many more stories coming from such a talented writer.

but I am so glad I did Nov. 1 2014
By Anna - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I was hesitant to read a lesbian novel written by a male author... but I am so glad I did! Mr. Cannon writes amazing stories with characters that keep me coming back for more. I highly recommend this book. It is romantic without being sappy, and kept me turning the pages. I have yet to be disappointed by any of his novels.
