About the Author

Chris Tibbs is an RYA Ocean Yachtmaster with more than 250,000 miles at sea, including three around-the-world races. He holds a Master's degree in meteorology and trained as a forecaster with the Met Office (the U.K.'s government weather service). He runs his own company consulting and forecasting for the sailing fraternity, and serves as navigator on the maxi-cat Playstation, which has broken five sailing records. He advises organizers of major ocean races and is a frequent contributor to boating magazines, including Sailing Today.

Format: Paperback
Awesome.... plain, simple, great pictures and diagrams (hey... I'm a sailor - keep it simple). I practically carry this thing around with me so I can reference the wx around me. Really good. Breaks down all the basics and touches on a bit more. Great reference! It should come laminated or something so it won't get wrecked.
